Grilled Mustard BBQ Coleslaw

with Sweet Golden Mustard Barbecue Sauce
time: 30-60 minutes | serves: 1 to 12
Ingredients
  • Cabbage Base
  • 1/2 green cabbage
  • 1/2 red cabbage
  • salt and pepper
  • light oil
  • Sauce
  • 1/2 bottle Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet Golden Mustard Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp pepper, ground black
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp celery seeds
  • 1-2 large carrots, peeled and thinly sliced/shredded
Instructions
  • Heat a charcoal grill appropriately.
  • Slice whole cabbages into 1-1 1/2 inch large cuts. Set aside 1/2 of each, green and red cabbage.
  • Lightly oil cabbage cuts. Salt and pepper generously.
  • Grill on each side until thoroughly charred.
  • Remove and cool completely.
  • Once cooled, slice thinly and combine with shredded carrots.
  • Combine sauce ingredients in a bowl or jar and mix completely.
  • Mix the sauce well and combine with cabbage mixture.
  • Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator until needed.
